How to create Gmail account
Setting up a Gmail account is easy and you can use the email for different things. Today I will show you how to create a Gmail account.
Step 1: Visit www.gmail.com
Step 2: Click Create account. The sign-up page will appear
Step 3: In other to create the account, you will need some basic information. Follow the directions and enter the required information. Click on Next after the first form and continue with the second form.
Guide to fill up the information
• First and Last name: Enter your first and last name (you can change this in the future)
• Choose a username (This must be unique as it will be used for the email) If it notifies that username has already been in use. Try another username.
• Password: Confirm your password: Gmail passwords are required to be at least 8 characters. You should use a combination of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and characters to have the safest password. It’s important to choose a very strong password to avoid hacking into your account.
• Birthday: Enter your date of birth. Under the provisions of Google, you must be 13 years old to create an account.
• Gender: Choose your gender (Male or female).
• Mobile: Enter your phone number. This option is not required, but you should enter your phone number. You can easily use it to restore the password.
• Your current email address: If you have already had another account then please enter your email here.
• Verification step: Tick this box for verification purposes, or skip and use mobile verification you don’t need to enter captcha code below.
Step 4: Review Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, click the checkbox, then click Next step. After you complete the information requested by Gmail, you click Next.
Step 5: Set your personal profile. You can set it immediately or put it aside. Press Next
Step 6: Click Continue to go to Gmail. You will be redirected to your Gmail inbox immediately.
Congratulate! You’ve successfully created Gmail account. You can send and receive email immediately.
